Anyone in Houston knows how much we love our sports teams, but those who have been to a game have learned how hectic traffic and parking can be on the way to and from any of our local stadiums. With the rising success of our teams this year, games are getting more crowded and traffic is worse than ever. Luckily, you can find a Houston BCycle station close to almost every stadium in town! Check out our stations closest to where your favorite teams play and use bike share to get to and from the next big game.
Minute Maid Park
Any fan even loosely following baseball has heard about the Astros’ monster season. With 6 All-Stars and the best record in the MLB, the Astros routinely pack Minute Maid to the brim. Fortunately, you can find three BCycle stations surrounding Discovery Green, which is just a three-block walk from Minute Maid Park. The nearest of these three stations sits at 925 Crawford St. next to the Marriot Marquis.
BBVA Compass Stadium
Both the Dynamo and the Dash are at the height of their season during the summer. The Dynamo are high up in the Western Conference and the Dash are on the come-up with the return of Carli Lloyd. BBVA Compass Stadium sits right in the middle of East Downtown and subsequently right next to one of our stations. Located at 736 St Emanuel St, there is a BCycle station less than a block from the stadium down Rusk Street.
While the Rockets are currently in their off-season, you can expect the Toyota Center to be bustling come October. The Rockets recently made some huge trades and the new roster is looking incredible. An easy way to get to and from a game this fall is on a Houston BCycle. Our nearest station is just one block away from the Toyota Center at 1177 Crawford St.
Sadly we do not currently have any stations near the home to our Texans. We do, however, have 11 different stations near the METRORail lines that can take you right to NRG Stadium. As our expansion continues, we will have new stations popping up closer to the stadium and more METRORail lines. BCycles are an easy and healthy way to catch all of Houston’s sports event.
