For new or experienced bicycle riders, this on-the-bike class teaches adult riders how to anticipate most common scenarios they will face and provides the tools to address real world challenges, from debris to sharing the road, in order to boost confidence and enhance the riding experience. A Tale of Two Bridges is a grassroots effort advocating for the construction of two bike/pedestrian bridges over White Oak Bayou that would help connect Houston Heights to Washington Ave and beyond to Buffalo Bayou and Memorial Park. Join us for a bike ride to demonstrate how long it takes to get across the bayou without the bridges that we are advocating for. We will also bike around to tour the green space and put the project into a human perspective.
